ABCs for the XYZ Gen, oil, by Anna Kostro (aka Hanka) Artist’s Statement: Symbolism….self portrait with a student as I teach both American History (American Flag, book says 4×20+7=Four score and seven….) and Global (see giant globe) to students who often would prefer listening to their music or communicating on their cell phones i.e. message c u ltr or is it our culture? I try to use new technology in the classroom, music, computers but when communicating with parents an old fashioned telephone is at my disposal….(I anticipate a change next year to more computer use for communications…)
