Tuesday, September 9, 2014, was a regular day. Daniel was helping his Mom cook dinner; when a can suddenly fell out of Mom’s hand. Before Mom could do or say anything, Daniel reached out and grabbed the can — pain shot though his hand, and his blood began to pour.

Mom immediately cleaned and bandaged the deep wound; and rushed Daniel to the hospital, where his bravery was tested to a new limit. When he was all stitched-up, he thanked the doctors and nurses for taking good care of him.

Back home, the family gathered; and Daniel told everyone about his adventure and trauma. His parents got to clean the kitchen. We ate pizza, as the planned meal was no longer in the works.
