When I was a kid, I enjoyed watching the silent movies made by Charlie Chaplin. It always amazed me how interesting a movie could be, even when there was no spoken dialogue between the actors. Here is an example:

 

My Dad, when he was a kid, also enjoyed Harold LLoyd movies — I saw some of them, and I also thought that they were fun. Here is an example:

Other comics that I enjoyed as a kid were Abbott And Costello. They have many famous comic routines. Here is a short sample:

Much sillier, but I admit that I did enjoy them for a while, were The Three Stooges. Here is a sample of their work:
