- Authentic Telstar satelite, one of two other Telstar units that were built as back up satelites, but never used. Telstar was the world’s first active communication satelite, launched in July 1962.
- Touch-Tone Telephone. In 1964, Bell Labs developed a telephone in which push-buttons and electronic tones replaced circular dials and electrical pulse dignaling. Extensive human factors tests were conducted to determine the best positions of the buttons to limit errors and maximize dialing speed.
