- Notwithstanding all the efforts to induce, and all the pushing done by Kelly, at 5 am on May 28, 2011, a decision was made to proceed by Caesarean Section
- I tried to keep to the speed limit, but I failed — however, when I explained to the officer why I was exceeding the speed limit, he let me go without a ticket
- As we entered the hospital, we were aware of the precious arrival
- When we reached the maternity area, we heard over the hospital-wide speaker system the short lullaby they play each time a baby is born — we knew that this was ours (actually, Kelly’s & Marek’s — but we turned to each other and said, that must be ours). The official time of birth was 6:02 am
- While we waited to meet the newest member of our family, pigs and cows were flying with happiness
- While Kelly was in recovery, we watched our new grandson with amazement
