July 3, 2011 — Keep Your Elbows Off The Table

Dear William (and Daniel, Catherine, Michael & Baby Girl Y) (and your parents), (and any future descendants and their parents),

Another hot tip on how to be perceived a “proper” person — Keep Your Elbows Off The Table!

Keep your elbows off the table — in close dining situations it is a vital rule. Elbows take up table space and can be a danger in knocking plates or glasses. Elbows on the table give you something to lean on and tend to lull you into slouching; and your elbows can also rock the table. But, most importantly, if you put your elbows on the table, others may think that you are ill-mannered — and this may embarrass your Parents and the rest of your family.
