Since I wrote to you last, we have a new member of our family — Michael Sasieta; WELCOME!!!

So, Michael, you already met your Mom, and your Dad, and your brother Daniel.

And you also met me, your Dziadziuś Paweł Kostro, and your Babcia Krysia Kostro (we are your Mom’s parents).

And you also met your Abuelita Elba Sasieta and your Abuelito Luis Sasieta (they are your Dad’s parents).

And your Tia (your Dad’s sister) Giovanna Sasieta, and your Cousin, Gabriella Mowday, and her Dad, Graham Mowday.

And your Uncle (my son) Mark Kostro, and your Aunt Kelly Ladd-Kostro, and your Cousin William Kostro.

And your Uncle (my son) Richard Kostro, and your Aunt Stephanie Kostro, and your Cousin Catherine Kostro.

Other members of your family are:

Your Pra-Babcia Irene Kostro and her daughters (my sisters) Olenka Philippas, Hanka Kostro, and Elzunia Hirsch, and also her son (my brother) Tom Kostro, and his wife Patricia Brody, and their kids, Zak, Katrina and Cody Kostro.

Your Pra-Babcia Irana Neumann and her son (Babcia Krysia’s brother) Tadziu Neumann.

Babcia Krysia’s sister, Ann Neumann and her husband Lee Levine, and their daughters, Alina and Sarah Levine.

So, Michael, WELCOME!!!

Michael — that is a very nice name. I understand that your parents chose that name for you because they like the name; but, you should know that we have had several Michaels in the family before you already.

There was your Babcia Krysia’s brother, Michael Neumann; and there was your Babcia Krysia’s Grandfather Michal Weglewski; and there is my first cousin, Michael Dzikowski — you can read all about him HERE.

In the Bible, Michael is one of the three Archangels: Archangel Michael, Archangel Raphael and Archangel Gabriel. Archangel Michael is known for defeating the fallen angels, including Satan (the Devil). [By the way, I have a close friend, Raphael Ornaf — he is your Uncle Marek’s Godfather; Raphael Ornaf has two brothers, Gabriel and Michael — so, in their family, the three brothers were named after the three Archangels!]
