Dear William (and Daniel, Catherine, Michael & Baby Girl Y) (and your parents), (and any future descendants and their parents),
Today (July 30) is Babcia Krysia’s cousin’s 63rd birthday — that is Elzbieta Naumann. So, let me introduce her …
Elzbieta’s Father, Tadeusz Neumann, was Babcia Krysia’s Father’s twin brother.
To get a better understanding of the these family relationships, I prepared for you this family tree:

Babcia Krysia’s father and his brothers: Henryk A.Neumann, Alfons Korzeniewski (half-brother) & Tadeusz Neumann (twin brother)
Your Great-Great Grandmother Waleria Gierszewska was first married to Jan Kozeniewski, with whom she had one son, Alfons Kozeniewski.
After Jan died, Waleria married Babcia Krysia’s Grandfather Aleksander Neumann, with whom she had two sons, Henryk and Tadeusz, who were twins.

On the left: Alfons Korzeniewski, sitting in front of him — Aleksander Neumann; sitting to the right of him: Henryk & Tadeusz with their mother Waleria

Tuchola Poland: Neumann family gathering — Babcia Krysia’ father is the twin on the left with his mother (Walerja) behind him. His father (Aleksander Neumann) is in the rear on the right.
After World War II, Alfons moved to England; Henryk moved to the United States; and Tadeusz remained in Poland.

Danka Neumann — On the back of the photo: Dear Aunt and Uncle. I graduated to second grade for which Grandmother took me to Sopot. Many hugs to Krysia and Hania sends Danusia.

October 29, 1955 Tuchola Poland: Funeral for Walerja Neumann nee Gierszewska, Babcia Krysia’s grandmother.

Sopot, July 1956: Tadeusz Neumann with his wife (Stefa nee Nagler) and daughters (Danka, Ela, Ala) and friends.
As a student, Elzibeta wanted to study medicine; however, she was not given that opportunity; and instead, she studied dentistry at the Akademia Medyczna in Poznan, Poland.
When given the opportunity, she settled in Olten, Switzelrand.
Eventually, she married Janusz Neumann-Szczepkowski, who was a Polish Consul in Switzerland. She is now known as Elisabeth J. Neumann Szczepkowski.
In 1997, Wojcio Rysio visited them in Switzeland.
Elzbieta and Janusz have a condominium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and, in 2006, Ciocia Malgosia visited them there.
William — you never know what life has in store for you, and where you will end up. To prepare for all eventualities, be respectful of all cultures, and learn as much as you can about geography, history and languages, so that if you ever need the information, you will have it at your disposal.
Love,
Dziadziuś Paweł.
